Broughton Community Church
We are a small but growing, friendly community church in Lower Broughton.
There has been a church on this site since 1923 and we're at the start of a new phase of the church's life, with lots to learn and do together. We're excited about demonstrating God's love and compassion in Broughton, in our homes, our workplaces, our city and wider world - wherever we spend our lives.

There can be a lot of hurt, pain, confusion and chaos in life. We aim to be a community that helps people find and share in hope and healing - we’re convinced that God’s heart is for us all and not against us. We value worship, compassion, family and community. Our monthly gathering is very informal and we welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Church of the Nazarene
As a church, we are a local expression of the international Christian denomination, The Church of the Nazarene. We strive to help people grow into fully committed followers of Jesus.

Gather on Sunday
Monthly Worship
Worship with us at Broughton Community Church each month. Our next service is on December 15th.
This month we'll be thinking about the Christmas story as we share around a meal, then heading across the road to share the story by singing Christmas carols in the neighbouring care home.
We meet on the third Sunday of each month, 12:30pm to 2:15pm
What to expect: Our worship is relaxed, informal, interactive, and takes place around a meal. Communion is a central part of our time together as we eat and talk.
During our meal we usually hear a short talk or participate in an activity that enables us to explore the Christian faith and Bible together. We also include questions that help us to reflect and discuss the theme of the service. We have a time of prayer and share in Communion - this is an 'open table' and all are welcome.

We don't currently have any Sunday School or children's activities but our worship is usually interactive and children are most welcome. We'll try to meet dietary needs but, if you're able, please contact us in advance so we can be sure to cater for you.
Gather mid-week

What we believe
We are a Christian People
We are a Holiness People
We are a Missional People
We are Wesleyan by tradition
We are Arminian by tradition
-
We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
-
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures (the Bible) is the written inspired word of God, the Bible is central to all we do and all that we teach
-
We believe in a loving God who created the earth we live in, He never grows old, He’s never irrelevant or out dated because He exists outside of time. His love for humanity is so great that he desires a real relationship with people and that is why he sent His Son (Jesus) to earth in human form
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God. He lived a sinless life and offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins (not living life how God intended) of humankind by dying on a cross. To bridge the gap between a sinful human race and a Holy God
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is the power and the presence of God and this power was sent to raise Jesus Christ from the dead
-
We believe that when you invite Jesus into your life we receive the free gift of salvation, the gift of forgiveness and we are spiritually re born.
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers
