Broughton Community Church
We are a small but growing, friendly community church in Lower Broughton.
There has been a church on this site since 1923 and we're at the start of a new phase of the church's life, with lots to learn and do together. We're excited about demonstrating God's love and compassion in Broughton, in our homes, our workplaces, our city and wider world - wherever we spend our lives.
There can be a lot of hurt, pain, confusion and chaos in life. We aim to be a community that helps people find and share in hope and healing - we’re convinced that God’s heart is for us all and not against us. We value worship, compassion, family and community. Our monthly gathering is very informal and we welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Church of the Nazarene
As a church, we are a local expression of the international Christian denomination, The Church of the Nazarene. We strive to help people grow into fully committed followers of Jesus.

Gather on Sunday
Worship with us at Broughton Community Church each month.
We currently meet on the third Sunday of each month, 12:30pm to 2:15pm
What to expect: Our worship is relaxed, informal, and interactive. We usually hear a short talk or participate in an activity that enables us to explore the Christian faith and Bible together. We have a time of prayer and share in Communion - this is an 'open table' and all are welcome. Our service is about 45-60 minutes followed by a light meal together.
We don't currently have any Sunday School or children's activities but our worship is usually interactive and children are most welcome.
Explore Faith - small group
Pop along to our small, informal Bible Study group where we we explore and discuss the Christian faith and Bible together. We also pray together and share in Communion - this is an 'open table' with alcohol-free grape juice, and all are welcome.
Most Wednesday evenings 5pm-6pm
(Holiday periods may differ)
We would love to pray for you or connect with you. Do get in touch if you have any prayer requests or would like to know more.
What we believe
We are a Christian People
We are a Holiness People
We are a Missional People
We are Wesleyan by tradition
We are Arminian by tradition
We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures (the Bible) is the written inspired word of God, the Bible is central to all we do and all that we teach
We believe in a loving God who created the earth we live in, He never grows old, He’s never irrelevant or out dated because He exists outside of time. His love for humanity is so great that he desires a real relationship with people and that is why he sent His Son (Jesus) to earth in human form
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God. He lived a sinless life and offered himself as a sacrifice for the sins (not living life how God intended) of humankind by dying on a cross. To bridge the gap between a sinful human race and a Holy God
We believe the Holy Spirit is the power and the presence of God and this power was sent to raise Jesus Christ from the dead
We believe that when you invite Jesus into your life we receive the free gift of salvation, the gift of forgiveness and we are spiritually re born.
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers
